About Sylvie Lariviere-Traub
Sylvie Lariviere-Traub’s professional odyssey began in the film industry. She spent seven transformative years at the National Film Board of Canada, contributing her talents across various domains. In 1995, Sylvie became one of the pioneering women in Eastern Canada to undertake a rigorous six-month course in international trade and marketing, facilitated by the Quebec Government’s Office of Promotion for Exportation. Her interest in technological innovation propelled her to prominence at InterQuest, later rebranded as IQ Biometrix. In 2001, Sylvie relocated to California. There, she received the ultimate validation of her work and career with two prestigious Congressional recognition awards. Sylvie’s life took a new turn when she met Daniel Traub, her partner in both life and creativity. Together, they embarked on a new venture, establishing a film production company dedicated to preserving history. Tragically, Sylvie lost her husband in 2019. She later found solace and purpose in her first passion: writing. Her memoir is a poignant testament to a rich and resilient life.
